There is a small neighborhood park on South Street just East of Rt 135. The small, U-shaped driveway is easy to miss, and there is just one picnic table and a narrow path to the water. Park considerately.

Downstream from South Street, the river is broad and fairly straight, with a high bank on river left and marshes intermediately on river right. Soon, you will encounter the historic and photgenic Greendale Ave bridge, a single-arch stone span, followed quickly by the dual spans of I-95/Rt 128. A small marsh on river left often has wild blackberries and grapes that are reachable from the river in the right season. After the marshy patch look for the gravel area on river left used by fishermen for an informal takeout at Cutler Park, or continue downstream a hundred yards or so to take out at the Needham St launch maintained by the town of Dedham, also on river left.
